Labelexpo plans
industry awards
The inaugural Label Industry Global Awards, organized by Labelexpo, will be the focus of a gala dinner and awards ceremony on the evening of September 13, the first day of Labelexpo Americas 2004.
Nominations will be accepted for each award from anyone in the label industry. Three awards will be presented, as follows:
• R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award, for an individual who has a minimum of 15 years in the industry, participates in industry activities, and is a high profile influencer and motivator.
• Label Industry Award for Continuous Innovation, for a long-established supplier or converter company that is innovative and pioneering, and instrumental in developing the science and technology of the industry.
• Label Industry Award for New Innovation, for a new supplier or converter company that is innovative and pioneering; has fewer than 10 years involvement in the industry; and is instrumental in introducing new science, product or technology for the industry. The judging panel will consist of Mike Fairley, of Tarsus, the show producer; Andy Thomas, editor of Labels & Labeling; Jack Kenny, editor of Label & Narrow Web; Wolfgang Klos-Geiger, editor of NarroWebTech; and John Bankson, TLMI president
